Window Tint
I'm getting window tint at the end of March for my Red 2000 Z28. What im wondering is what percentage tint people get? I'm thinking 5% in the rear window and 20% in the Driver and Passenger Windows.... is this a good pick? if any one has pictures/info you can share that would be great!
Thanks!

In OH, you'll need to be careful. The law doesn't allow any darker than 50% on the side windows. Back can be whatever. Other states IDK about.
That being said, I have limo on the back, and had 35% on the sides - took it off to get redone this year though. I will more than likely go back to 35%, as I was never bothered. I have a friend with 20%, and he's gotten multiple tickets for it.

i think ohio is really 75% on the fronts but im really from michigan which is 4in from the top and thats it so im kinda taking a chance either way...lol... i just hope i dont get tickets because iv seen MANY people with 5% all around atleast thats what it looks like! is your car T-Top? if so did u get them tinted also or is the factory tint on those good enough?

I do have t-tops and I did those in limo too. I'm good friends with a local officer, and he said in OH it's 50% for sides.

I like having the limo on the back and tops. It is a little hard to see out of the rear window at night though. I did have 20% on the sides when I first got the car, but I changed it to 35%, mainly just to avoid problems. The car gets enough attention as it is

Yup, MI law is NO tint on driver or passenger side windows no more than 4 inches from the top of the window. Ask me how I know. So all you get is a measly 4 inch strip across the top, looks like hell, but I still see people doing it around here. Rears can be as dark as you want.
Windshield tint is also a no-no.
I think you can get some sort of note from your eye doctor, but you'd still have to go to court to fight the citation if the cops in the wrong mood.
You could always just pay the ~$100 citation, but I don't know what the reoccurring penalty is.

Limo all around looks the best IMO. But since we can't do that, I like the 35% on the sides and limo on the back and tops.

i have 35% all the way around on the camaro. Sorry this is the only picture I have that shows the tint. Every single pic i have is with the windows down.
I have 20% in the front windows and back glass and limo in the rear doors on the CTS-V but don't have any great shots of that. Best I can do for now.

do u like the 35% all the way is it dark enough so that its tough to see in? and the cts-v do u think it would look lighter with only the hatch lima and the front windows 20%?

the 35% does a pretty good job of making it tough to see. 35% is what is legal in Indiana and the car draws enough attention as it is so I didnt go any darker. I absolutely love the tint on the V. it's hard to see in and keeps the car much cooler in warmer weather. at the same time the car is very dark on the inside even in the middle of the day. if it were me I would do 20% all the way around. it's hard enough as it is backing up with the 20% in the rear window.
