will vinyl decal (stripes) wreck my paint when taken off?

im getting the hocky side stripes and when/ if i take them off will the eat up my paint job, or be super hard to come off.

no they shouldnt eat your paint but there is the possibility that the rest of your paint will fade some while the paint under the stripes wont, but you have a white car so the changes of that is slim, if you had a black or NBM id say yes. but that would take a few years to be able to see.

I can answer this. I use to have hockey sticks myself but have since removed them and install some Dick Harrell style stripes.

You could see a difference but it was mostly from the wax and such I had put on the rest of the car. I used some clay bar and then some polish and such and it made it so you'll never know they were there.

your paint will be fine.

but after a few years in the sun there will be a shadow.... when removed.

Does anyone have pictures of the Dick Harrell stripes on their car? I have a white/black Z with the berger panel and I've been debating it.

Haha yeah your car looks almost exactly like mine. From what I can see anyway, the only difference being that I put white letters in my panel out back.

Yeah I think that pic is going to be about as close as I'm going to get, thanks!!

I don't have any badges on my car, so I was thinking about putting "Z28" on the rear quarter (the wide part of the stripe). Good/bad idea?

my dad owns a sign shop so he can make me custom stripes anyway I want them for free, but I decided to leave my car the way it is due to my SS hood. I think there'd be too much going on. if I had a Z28 I'd do hockey stripes.
