    Will an automatic shifter knob from a cts fit a Trans Am?

    Just as the title says, I got a Cadillac cts shifter knob for cheap and I was wondering if it would fit a Trans Am?

    I am temped to say no. The shift lever for the T/A has a slot cut into the top. That knob doesn't look like it would accept a slotted shift lever. You could try test-fitting that knob to the T/A's shift lever and see if you could fab something up to allow that knob to mate with the lever.

    So I fiddled with my shifter and it seems the only way to get it to fit would be to cut a slot similar to the TAs stock shifter. So i think i am going to.do something else. Does anyone know the thread on a manual c6 shifter knob? I was thinking of getting the automatic to manual adaptor afterthoughtsauto sells.
