Whistler mod.........

Finally received the set of headlights today I recently purchased. I will be doing the whistler mod to these(painting the insides black for those that don't know what the whistler mod is). I plan to paint the back of them black like I did on my originals and will have to polish the lens up somewhat. I also plan to put these protective covers on them once I get the lens polished to my liking. I put these covers on my originals and have been really pleased with them so far. You can't even tell they are on there.

about those lens covers, are they noticeable? and what about those of us that go over 120 mph? guess we gotta take em off... lol and i wonder if you can spray tint them or even use regular tint, you should try it out and see how it looks if you havent already...

You can't notice they are on.

Spray tint will just burn/peel off from the heat of your headlights.

Update on the headlights, I finished polishing the lenses tonight. Wetsanded with 400, 1000, 1500, 2000 and followed that up with this plastic polishing kit. You can compare the pictures below to the picture above to see the results yourself.

Yeah....there is no hope for those current lenses, P. The scratches are way too deep.... they'd be paper thin by the time we finished.... the more I sanded, the worse they looked. I went ahead and tried doing all the steps with a small section. No dice, looks like I never touched it....sorry
