How thick is it, and how does it attach?

you sew it on...it takes about 30 - 45 mins to put on...make sure you pull the two sides together tight when sewing.(so that they touch)

its thin- soft leather ..it does add some thickness to the steering wheel ... but not too much

Awesome! I'm gettin one! The leather on my steering wheel is shot! Do you think that it would fit good if I ripped the existing leather off of my steering wheel?

i'd get the wheelskin and lay it on (without sewing) and see how it covers...these are made to form to the original wheel (thickness)..if you don't have a smooth surface you will feel all the lumps and bumps when the skin is on...so you probably don't want to tear anything apart unless you know whats under the old leather.....you can also check the internet for different prices..i found 5 or 6 sites selling them and they all had different prices when i bought mine....afterthoughs auto has them... single color for $30 and two colors for $35...they can also answer the tear out questions better
