whats up with tinted windows on the outside?

well i see this on TV all the time and i know mine are on the insides sooo, just want to know why

Well, I know when the tint guys are cutting the tint to fit the glass they apply it to the outside first to see where the line is where the glass ends. Then they remove it and put the tint inside.

they're just trying to be Unique..

Really tho.. the only reason I could see applying tint to the outside of a window is if you were to tint the inside as well. That way it would almost totally darken the window. Seems too fragile to apply to the outsideto me, but who knows.

i understand the rough fitting of doing to the outside first then transfer to the inside, but im 100% positve that ever car they did on that show they did on the out side. i know crazy right. well still waiting to see from a tinter or something,

+1. Everytime i see them tint windows on that show, they tint both sides and i never no why. Hopefully nobody writes on their windows!

Don't see why you couldn't layer the tint on the inside. That outside layer will start to fade into that nasty purple color in no time, not to mention get so scratched up. Silly left coasters.

tint gets that color of blueish/purp from not using "tint safe cleaner" = ammonia free, and there right coasters JK JK
