Pewter- 2000 Camaro SS (SLP)
What color to paint my calipers?
I have a 2000 SS that's pewter and im trying to determine what color to paint my calpiers. The car has the stock 5 spoke ZR1 wheels (aluminum) not chrome, the centercaps have a red bowtie on them so im leaning towards painting the calipers red. Pictures of painted calipers on a pewter camaro would be nice to see to help me decide....thanks guys...

you get the best of both worlds and just takes alot of time but sure looks the best IMO

Do you guys put a clear coat over the polished part? I know on the from for the decal you probably do but do u on the back as well? think it'll make it easier to clean?

well its easy just remove wheel wet sand the caliper using 300 grit,600.800.1000.1500, and then 2000 grit then use some mother mag metel polish for like $7 and polish. its cheap just takes like 5 hours per wheel and maintaining. good luck

I would go with Red. They go well with almost any color body and have the "performance" look to them even if they are your stock calipers.

IMO, the calipers should stick to the color scheme. There is nothing red on my car, all the accents and suspension is black. If I had painted my calipers red, they would not fit the color scheme and would stick out like a sore thumb. If you get more than one or two accent colors going, it looks too busy IMO and doesn't flow well or look very thought out. I really don't even like 2 accent colors, but sometimes you have too.
