Underhood Mirrors
I've seen these posted around, and I did a search and I couldn't fine much...
I have a 2000 WS6 and was wondering where they can be found.

Collector Yellow (54U)- 2002 Trans Am CE
I got mine from Blake many many years ago. They've been on the car for over 5 years and still look like they did when I put them on.
I'll PM you the url.Last edited by BANDITCAR; 01-02-2008 at 02:34 PM.

Silver- 2003 GTI 1.8T :(
ok correct me if im wrong but those are set on the hood between to layers or something to the effect where they are not just stock on the outside but inside... if so... create templates... bring to home depot or something they can cut them out for a lot cheaper then a kit would cost... just an idea... but it wouldnt be as good as the kit

Most glass places like Binswanger will do the custom cuts for you. I had some done for my Impala and it was really inexpensive. I think it came out to $7 a mirror.

IMO mirrors are for the ceiling over your bed or the bathroom. Just never liked them under a hood. To each his own though.

do they tend to trap in engine compartment heat?

^ I doubt it. Aint too much heat dissipating through metal anyway. IMO

Mine are mirrored plexi as well and they stay on there 24/7.
Wipe em off with glass cleaner and they are good to go. I've had a couple water spots that wouldn't come off, but PlastX took care of that.

I will work on a template from my ram air hood. Then I will see if Jaison and I can produce them for a better price for the ls1.com'ers
