    Trufiber vs VFN

I bought a Trufiber hood well it's not expesive for a reason quite wavy and the gaps at the headlights is wider than oem and noticebly so,,,We bought 2 of them 1 WS9 and 1 WS6 they are the same way both of them I saw pics of VFN and they seem to fit a bit better but maybe not I don't have it on hand

They seem to be 1/8 of an inch shorter than stock and the gap at the headlight area is well big I can fit my little finger in there. I'm thinking of making the holes on the hinge a little wider so I can adjust it but the lines at the windshield will be off what to do

Total with body work and paint $1350 expensive for ok quality It will look decent but it needs a lot of body fill and block sanding that price is taking the hood of myself and fitting it myself... It was dry fitted now at the body shop being painted we will see .....:-(

Yeah I see a lot of these after market hoods that look like d*&k..

Ruins the lines of the car imo..

I reset my stock hood and it dials @ ~1mm front lip and 3mm side to side..

Not getting that in an after market it would seem..

Personally, "almost fits" is'nt something I want..

    Sorry for your troubles man...

    Ok not to to bad

After block sanding and priming 4 times and a wicked paint job from my body man the hood looks very freaking mean matches with the black color almost perfectly the lines are not the same but it's fiberglass about 1/4 of an inch off but it still looks amazing it is an F body after all nothing is perfectly straight is it ? :-) Oh and the body man gave me a little deal $610 installed so not cheap but I got the look I wanted about a final tally of $1340 bucks with shipping and tax :-)

Trufiber is still good just not perfect

I have to admit that for the price the trufiber hood is a good hood 529 bucks is cheap but the WS6 hood was a better fir than the WS9 I was the WS9 hood unfortunately but it came out very nice at the end it's just not equal gap all around and a bigger gap at the lights and a little wider on one side

To be honest most people I would say 99% will not notice it but I am a perfectionnist I love my hood and I had an amazing body shop guy and I would recommend a TruFiber hood any day way better than ebay specials
