Talking Trans Am front plate question

Hi I have an 02 T/A and was wondering what is the trick to remove the front plate cover? I know this is going to sound like a stupid request but I just got the car 2 weeks ago and in New York I'm supposed to run front and rear license plates. Thanks in advance Ron

Look under the lower edge of it. (Flashlight may be necessary.)
    There are two torx screws.
Remove them, pull out on the bottom & down.
The top is simply tabs into slots.

Cool thanks for the quick answer, it kills me to put the regular plate on the front but I probably should before than after!!

It's only an $18 fine here. I've been pulled over for it once.

It's a stupid law and I refuse to follow it. I'll gladly pay the $18.

You know I have to ask my buddy what he knows, he's a cop. I'd rather leave the bird on the front. a couple of years ago I had a Viper and I refused to drill the front to put on a plate and was never pulled over. Time to roll the dice I guess.

Yeah see what the fine is. I've only been pulled over for it once in 2 years of having the front cover on.

C'mon man, you know that having a Trans Am is about bucking the establishment and not following the crowd...heh heh.

Keep the front plate on and ride the wild side!

I just recently picked up a plate cover and have installed it. I believe the fine in MD is $50, so I left the tag on under the cover and have the tool in the glove box for quick removal if needed.

i have no pictures of it, but i will try and get some. the plate goes on the plastic under the front of your car, dunno what you call it... but the plastic is used to let u know when u are going over a curb or cement brick... when parking.

Yea I'm slightly jealous of it. Especially since we went snow drifting the other day.

Ny is a 35 dollar min fine plus a 65 dollar surcharge if it is a county cop. Local
is sometimes more and you have to go to court, usually after 6 pm to pay the ticket.
