Trans Am Blackouts
I was wondering where to find the blackouts that cover the fog lamps, turn signals, and side markers. I've had great luck finding the tails, but I've yet to find those mentioned above.

I used VHT NiteShades and clear coat.
Didn't do the tails though. That would have been too much black for me.

This is what I'm looking for. As much of a dick as this guy is, I really like the blackouts and they'd look great on my CE. I'm trying to get rid of the orange and red on my car, since it's primary colors are black, grey and yellow.

I am not a fan of the fog light covers myself.
Search for them on EBay. Seen them there.

Ehh, I dig them. I'm trying to piece together a few visual mods before the Power Tour. I know it's a while away, but I'm a notorious procrastinator.

no flaking I take it. It's something I would definitely be interested in doing. I'd like to black everything out, including the brake lights. Just curious how big of a bitch the cops would pitch over that. My car really isn't out at night but on a rare occasion it is.

I left my brake lights.
But so far no flaking.
If they did...I would just lightly sand them down and do it again.

I'm gonna get some in the next week or so and start taking the lenses off. What about the fog lights? Will the heat mess with the niteshades? I know you don't have yours done, just curious if you or anyone knows. Also, reckon I could strip it off if the cops hassle me about it? It's just a paint correct?

Just spray paint.
I have no idea about the heat though. I don't have the can to check it.

Generally the cops won't say anything, but nice car. Every once and awhile you could get one that is having a bad day and decide to write you up for everything they can find. Technically the light is no longer DOT approved, so they could fine you for it.
I would also check with your inspection person to see if they will pass you if you did it. I have to either find a new garage, or turn mine back to stock to pass. Expired 6/7

There's a guy on the Impala SS Forum that does nightshading on tail lights. He would be the first person I ask any questions about the process. His s/n is lilronjohnson93 or something like that. He does mainly B-bodies, but I'm sure he could do some TA's as well.

I have the custolight 3rd brake light already that's blacked out and then lights up the screaming chicken when you hit the brakes.
