    Tail light lens adhesive

Noticed yesterday afternoon after washing my car that the driver side tail light is starting to separate from the housing a little bit. What adhesive do you guys recommend using to seal it back up?

Pat, I took my tail lights off, using a 1/8" drill bit on the under side I drilled 3 holes, one under the reverse light and 2 for the brake and signal lights. Not all the way just enough to open drain holes for the housing, never punched into the reflective inside, maybe 1/4" to 3/8". This allows an any water that may get inside to drain out. now for the top I used a black rtv that I applied a thin bead. I haven't had any issues since.

I havent pulled mine apart yet but it sounds like the reflective housing has some space between it and the shell it sits in so I might drill the holes you are talking about. Have you experienced any cloudiness in the lenses because of the holes in the bottom of the housing? Wondering if humidity getting in would cause it to haze up a little bit in the morning time since it wouldnt be "sealed" anymore.

I'll stop by the store and pick up some RTV on the way home.

None, in fact the haze you're talking about is because the moisture has no where to go. If left alone it will begin to blacken the chrome/reflective backing and then you're just screwed. There is about 3/8" to half an inch like you think. I used the light bulb as a guide in placing the holes. I placed them directly under the light bulb.

I also suggest the rain hole for the DRL housing too.
