T-Top Bar
So...just like most people, my T-Top bar is looking like its 14years old...not quite as shiny as it once was and a little faded. Its metal so would you guys recommend painting it to match the car or trying to find one that is in better shape?
I guess powder coating could be a wild card?

how bad? scratch up or sun fade? IIRC they are all gloss black. I would paint it the same.

sun fade more than anything. think if I sanded it down and painted it with color matching gloss black it'll be ok? if its that easy I can just prime it and paint it...
im getting pretty picky about the look of the car because im finally getting it the way I want it...took like a year but its finally starting to shine likes its supposed to so any little thing I see that looks old is getting replaced or touched one way or the other lol2000 Black TA M6 - LT's, ORY, UMI Short Stick, TT2's, Drilled/Slotted Rotors, Braided Lines, and Tuned by Vengeance SCCA and Car Show Approved

be careful I think that piece is aluminum and is easy to scratch. I've been careful with mine in the garage but I know she's going to need a serious wash & wax session once she is running again.

I think im going to sand it with a really fine paper and then try and paint it...if it doesnt come out how I want it I've seen them online for as low as $20. Worst case scenario is I spend like $10 on paint and primer and then have to spend another $20-30 to get another one.

There are filler/primers out there if you leave scratch marks from sanding. No biggie. Get the filler/primer and then spray gloss black. Done.

I've been kicking around the idea of painting the sail panel and doing a CETA paint mod on my car. It's NBM and I don't think it would show as well as it does on other paint colors like white, yellow, red, etc....just about every color besides NBM & Black.

Pretty good out of the box. I haven't 100% fitted it and gotten it perfect. Please excuse my messy garage these werw taken prior to cleaning it up. Here are some pictures of just slapping it on:
Mine has the functional heat extractors btw. When you get it they come open or closed I chose open since I do not drive in down pours.
