    Strange Indentation On Rear Bumper

Now this is strange..first off, this car is NOT a daily driver. Today while applying some wax I noticed what appears to be a very very small indentation on the rear bumper (located right behind the bulb harness).

Examined the outter paint and it looks good .. no cracks or anything, its just a small indentation.

Does anyone else have a simliar indentation like this? I mean its very small..but if you run your finger on the outside of where the bulb goes..you realize there is a small slight dip. Strange.

Its really strange...and my car is a 2000 T/A with just 7K on the milage. I dont even remember the last time I turned my lights on the car (garage queen/trailor)..

I did do a show last week..could have been the sun heating up the rear bumper...

The license plate bulb is encased in a black piece of plastic resting right behind the indentation...it could have heated up the bumper and the piece that caused the slight indent..who knows... I'm really pissed though.

Just wondering if any other TransAm's have it too.

Like I said..its very strange. I think the small black plastic & metal assembly piece that hold the bulb assembly together has something to do with it.

Even on a normal summer day...I believe this area heats up and cause the slight imperfection on some models.

Mine has a small indentation also---I think it is due to the heat of the plate bulb...not too hot, but when it is 90 or so, it must get pretty warm there.??

Strange I know.. I was going F'n crazy !! trying to figure it out.

What I did last night was remove the license plate assembly, then took some foam and folded it around the black portion of the bulb assembly, then just
    screwed everything back in.

Who knows.....with some pressure from the inside going out it may just pop that fiberglass back.
