Stock paint not matching?
I have noticed on some 4th gens, the paint on the metal parts doesnt not match the non metal parts. Has anyone ever noticed this? Just curious if this is an issue that has been noted or maybe I am just really picky and notice this kinda crap when noone else does. lol

I totaly agree, front cover look like a different shade of pewter than the rest but, only in certain light. I have been looking at all other pewter cars and they all have the same issue. I have spoke to my dads boss (owns a body shop) and he looked it over real well and said it is definatly original factory paint (never been resprayed) he also said that it is just because of the different kind of plastic material. He showed me his truck is kind of like that (04 siera pewter) you can see a slight diference between the cover and fender so I am satisfied with his opinion.

Mine looks like that some times too. It all depends on the light. Mine has definitely been repainted too so i dunno how it would differ from the original even though its the same color as it used to be.

The main thing that usually sticks out to me is the 1/4 panels. They seems to be darker on some cars with factory paint.
