Ram Air Chrome Grill

hey does anyone know where you can get those little billet grills for the t/a ram air, i checked ebay and they wanted like a 100 bucks by the way i got a 00 t/a

Spinner has some nice ones. There is a thread on here for free shipping from them. But i just spray mine.

i got all mine from ebay, stainless side vents, chrome hood grills, stainless trans am letters, and acrylic pontiac rear fillers. total was some 300 for all i think. avatar pic not updated with them though.

Hey what is in the vent under the turn light? Any pics of it?

it's some aluminum meshing i found that closely looks like the hood nostrils =)

what's up man? things are going pretty good. i still dont like the city limits but it's alright i've mostly been working my butt off though. haven't really had time to mess with the harley truck any... this week i'm getting a air intake setup for it and sometime i'm gonna try to fill in the supercharger silencer holes.
how's things been with you? i miss my LS1 too now that i dont have one i hardly see any around anymore so when i do see one i tear up lol.
you need any help with anything drop me an email i'd still like to tinker with someone's ls1

Use a spray primer and then use a good chrome spray paint.

nah i wouldn't do primer.. too much risk of it chipping easier.... use two - 3 coats of a paint adhesion promoter.. wait 3-5 mins then spray the chrome spray paint... you want the chrome to go on BEFORE the adhesion promoter dries... it helps the paint to stick to the plastic. works wonders and i never had a chip in 2 yrs of my nostrils being painted with it. even if you did... you just repeat the steps to repaint them.... with primer you're more likely going to have to fill in scratches more then repaint since the primer is thicker than the ahesion promotoer.
