Putting On Blackbird Stripes....
This weekend I plan on putting on some blackbird stripes on my T/A.... Anybody have any advice / instructions on how to do this? I never done it before, and I got a quote from my paint guy and he said it would be like $75-$100.. So I wanna do it myself ..
The stripes didn't come with any instructions, so I definitely need some ..
Thanks for the help

I have small bubbles
I put them on myself with a buddy, and it was not easy. You can still see some small bubbles. I tried everything, but it's still not perfect close up. But it looks good from 5 feet away. I used the soapy water method - then used a squeege to remove the water after you get it in the correct position. So even though I like to do my own work, I would say have it professionally done.

$75.00 for 10 minutes work? hmmm...
I put mine on dry method and have no bubbles or problems. You just gotta get it right the first time if you do it this way otherwise use soap and a credit card.

I have the Ram Air hood stripes and did them myself. I used soapy water and took my time in a garage where no dirt could come in contact. I think the 2 most important parts are the prep, make sure you hood is completely clear of all dust and dirt and the squeegee. What I did was spray the top of the sticker as well as the bottom and keep my eye on it. As the sticker drys the bubbles start to apprear and if they are truely air bubbles, they will come out. I had to redo one side due to the bubbles not going away and found that it was a piece of dust/ dirt. Ive had them on my car for 2 years now with no problems. I'll post some pics for you tonight when I get home.

Yep, I just got them on tuesday, did the same way you did.. They look pretty good now! I have a few bubbles in some areas, but they're very small and you can't see unless you get up close.. But I'm pretty pleased with the way they turned out... Definitely worth saving the $75 the guy was gonna charge me !
