    Polishing STB and LCA's

Is it posible to polish them? There both powdercoated red now. What are they usually made of? stainless steel, aluminum just plain steel tubing? I know the STB is BMR but the lca's are just a cheap no name brand off ebay. There both red and I really don't want them red anymore. I thought of painting them black but polished would be way better. Anyone have and tips on doing this or should I just forget it and paint them?

    Thanks
    Jon

most are made with a "mild" steel. so it would be nearly impossible to polish, and if you did they would rust very fast. the best bet would be to paint them or send them off for another powdercoat job. imo send it off for recoating. will look and last way longer.
