    A Pillar Removal

I bot a shift light and I think I'd like to either place it on the top of the A pillar on the driver's side or in the air duct in the center of the dash. How easy/hard is it to remove either the plastic A pillar or the vent for the air duct? Is any special tool needed to remove either or do they just snap out with some gentle persuassion?

Remove the screws in the a-pillar and it comes right off.

Since we are talking A-pillars... how do the 2 and 3 hole gauge pods mount to the pillar trim? I don't remember seeing a good close up pic of any on here.

they are covers that just slip over the stock one. you then drill some holes for push rivets to keep it in place.

for wiring you cut holes in the stock one.

Thanks Mark. Once I get this batch of parts installed, I would like to add a fuel pressure gauge and A/F gauge. I wasn't sure if drilling was required, or if the wiring could slip between the stock cover and gauge pod.

Jeff, check this thread out. You can see the push pins in some of the picture.

I need to add some pictures to that thread. Specifically to what your talking about. Cutting the holes in the stock pillar for the wiring etc.

Ok -- I had forgotten about that write up and the fact that it showed the gauge pod. Really looks good and integrates nicely with the stock piece. Thanks Ron!
