Painting SOM calipers
I'm having some trouble finding a good high temp paint that I can use to paint brake calipers Sunset orange metallic. The closest I've been able to find is a duplicolor red-orange. close, but I don't know how it'd look after drying. Any good suggestions other than powdercoating?

Your not going to be able to match SOM with a powder coat, I've tried.
There is a shop by me called Ketone that will mix any color paint you need into an aerosol can. All you do is give them your paint code. I had some made from them 7-8 years ago for my SOM WS6 and it was like $20/can. They did a good job, paint matched dead on. I'm not sure about the high temp aspect as everything I painted wasn't heat stressed. Anyway, I think they are still in business give them a call maybe they will ship. 630-852-9507

Just go to any Dupont or PPG store and they can mix the color and put it in a can for you. They can tell you what temp it will be good up to and probably have an additive to make it a high temp paint. They just get a rattle can of high temp clearcoat.

yeah VHT is what i originally wanted to go with. used it before and had good results. the problem is they dont have a good color to use. Thought I found one on Advance Auto parts website but when i went to go look at it at the store, it was a burnt copper, not orange. I know G2 will mix cutom paints, but I really dont want to spend $100 on caliper paint.
