Painted or Smoked Tail Lights Chime In!!!
I'm looking to darken my tail lights but I'm not a normally a fan of the covers, so my question is, for those of you that have painted your tail lights black (or smoked), How'd you go about doing it and keeping them from dulling out.
Pics are appreciated as well.

Awesome write-up. I had checked Ls1Tech as well but I didn't see this. Thanks for the info. I'll probably end up doing this.

I like the way the tails look stock personally, I dont see a need to black them out completely. A few shades darker would be a nice tough IMO.

I bought 2 can of niteshades. I will do a write up in the spring.
I am a little worried about cops since its my DD, so I plan on darkening them up a good bit. right now, the black stuff o the inside of the lens is bubbling back, so it looks terrible. hopefully the niteshade will make that dissapear

now that is perfect. brake lights will shine through good. I want to do mine but am concerned about if I get rearended the cops would charge me with the accident. All they would have so say is that my lights were tinted and they couldnt see the brake lights. Just some food for thought.
