    Talking Painted rear light....

I was waiting for my doors to dry out back. And been wanting to do this for the longest time!!

So I grabed my old tail lenses and used some touch up paint I had lying around. I tried looking for spray paint with the same colour, but no go. So I had to go the brush route . I also removed the bulb to keep it from lighting up. Good thing too! The bulb was loosing it's red tint. Looks ok, and will hold me till I can either get ahold of spray paint in a matching GM colour or get the car painted.

    What do you guys think?

i don't like it, probably cuz it's brushed on. I did that with an extra set of rears that i had for my t/a, but i used spray paint and clearcoat.

I had the same idea, but ended up making some stencils for them because I still wanted to retain them as a light. I think it would look a ton better if you could find some spray paint instead of having to use a brush.

    Heres how mine look:

I had the clear ones in there. I took the old red ones and painted over them, so if I wanted to go back to the clear.. I still can. I just have never liked those damn lights and are worthless in my opinion (they're just running lights)! So far the cops don't harass you unless your speeding here. Very strict on that. But I've seen the most annoying light setups on some ricers and wonder how they get away with it .

I would like to have them filled and painted over when I have the car painted down the road. This will just have to hold me over till then.

    Those do look sweet!

Had I had a black car I would have left them alone (ie. red), but on my pewter it just looks awefull!

Interesting idea, but I can't say I really like em.

I think they would look much better totally smoked, or with an emblem, like Corvettekid did with his

You can buy the side marker lights already painted to match your car for $30.00 + shipping here http://www.custolight.com/id1.html just scroll down there towards the bottom. Oh and graphicsgod are those carbon fiber sail panels with the Chevy bowtie on them like they have on ebay? My sail panels are starting to fade from the sun and I was thinking about getting some but im skeptical about how they would look.
