Overhead console // airplane console??

Was curious if someone made an overhead console for the T/A or Camaro that mounted in the T strip that sepeartes the T-tops... Just seems like the T strip in the middle would look nice with some switches on it like for electronic cutouts, purge, line lock, maybe a guage or radar detector...

Was wondering if anyone makes them, anyone has made one or if one can be retro fit from another car to fit in ours?

Thought it would be an awesome idea to have an airplane like console overhead all lit up

Wouldnt considering buying any of these but maybe someone can work on a type of overhead like these but with all switches we can use!

Those are interesting but if it were me I would want them to look more modern rather than kit style. But that would be cool if there were switches and stuff on a panel up on the t-top strips.

I think the one from this site http://www.adiautotech.com/4thgen/index.htm is more customizable. Has an option to pretty much get whatever u want. Was thinking of just getting the temp and compass setup then do the rest myself with switches for bottle opener, line lock, purge etc and see how it went.

I sure will man... Probably will take a while to fab up and take pictures of the build but once i start it i'll make sure to post my progression on here

I've had a few concepts in mind about what i wanted it to look like and about its functionality.

I'll see what i can figure out. Will probably get started on that once the motor nears completion

I like the one with the electronic compass and outside temp display. Of course leave the rest blank to fill with whatever your heart desires.

I have a bunch of idea, was thinking of putting an ECM controller up there like the new one from Diablo or a radar detector and some switches for nitrous and cutouts etc. Could be endless possibilities!!!! lol

i've thought of taking one out of a tahoe/silverado, never knew if it would fit or not.. would certainly look better than anything posted here IMO

Hm, interesting... Would need some modifications to support what i wanted it too but if it fits the T-top in the 3rd gen, could def fit ours and that means just adding/removing what we/I wanted in order to accomplish a nice console.

The ones i posted here were just to give a visual to what i was looking for. By no means was i planning on using them, just to get ideas. Was thinking on going down the custom road but would have to get a mold made up and designed to fit what i wanted it to.
