Either the person(s) that owned my car before me had it fixed, or, I've been very lucky. No problems so far.

It is already a known problem with GM. With most of these vehicles being 10+ years old, there is no way GM will put out a mass recall on the sail panels. It was left as a dealer discretion goodwill for possible warranty coverage. I work at a dealer and I didn't get any help. So I wouldn't plan on anything happening anytime soon.
Other than that... Welcome!!!

Welcome to the site!
I have my new sailpanel all painted and ready for installation. Just one of the F-body quirks that has to be dealt with from time to time.

i used to work dealer too. but if you are interested just send me a private message. i am not forcing anyone to do it. i am just simply asking people who are still upset about the panel issue, who have been turned down or have paid out of their own pocket to take this opportunity to work with me on this. i have posted on 3 websites so i can get the word out and i acting upon it to unite fbody owners to hold gm responsible for their actions. they knew about before any claim was made, gm boosted the price of the panel from $400 to $1030 (they created a market for it), they have openly admit there is a manufacturer defect from factory, they used a less expensive glue than previous fbodies, and so many more things we can use to our advantage against in my research. its better if we unite rather than act alone on the issue

I wish you luck... but you are probably fighting a losing battle. I think they actually covered the problem up until around 2006 or 2007. I have a service bulletin from GM somewhere on this issue.
