    new look for gauges..

so i was trying to find an reverse glow gauges overlay for my TA.. only to find they dont make them anymore.. yes 6LE has custom gauges, but i dont want to spend $250 right now on gauges.. so i ordered some white overlays to hold me over til i researched more and found in order to get reverse glow gauges i have to order a gauge cluster out of a camaro.. something to do with the red dye or whatever it is on the back of the TA gauges.. either way, i would have to get a camaro gauge cluster to get a set of reverse glow overlays that you can pick up for $20 on ebay.. i had some in my 95 camaro Z28 and i loved them.. anyway, wednesday i got my pillar gauges installed and yesterday i put the white faced gauge overlays in.. this will hold me over til i find a gauge cluster from a camaro.. here is what i have so far

With that cluster you have now, you could try to use LEDs depending on if they are bright enough.

Looks real good. Flows well with the pillar pod gauges. Now go vacuum your floorboard

Lol. Already did. I washed her up like 5 min after this pic. It's hard keeping that floorboard clean though. It didn't have floor mats when I got it. Guess I'll have to see what I can fund on ebay

From what I've read when I was researching, there is a red film like substance on the backside of the gauges. I saw this when I took apart my HVAC controls, that is impossible to get off and no matter what color or how bright the bulb is it's still not going to look right. I'm going to trust what I've read instead of buying alot of stuff I can't use. Besides, I like how the camaro cluster looks and I know there aren't ant TAs around here with that cluster in there. Just something else to make mine alittle different right?
