    new hood

    Well I just bought a harwood 3 in fiberglass cowl hood and I was wondering since its fiberglass should I get new(sorry i don't know if this is the right terminalogy) hood struts designed for a lighter hood?

    hood struts

    yes! The ones for the stock steel hood are to strong for a fiberglass hood.You may end up cracking the hood when closing it.Stock struts are around 90lbs. of pressure.Look for a strut with about 35-50lbs. I found them at autozone.They're a sacks number.If you need the part number let me know.
