    New Headlights

Finally got my new black housing headlights in today. I will post pics of them on the car as soon as I get the car out of the body shop. I was in an accident earlier this month. I purchased them from http://www.neweraperformanceparts.com/default.asp?S=503&A=E&PKV=9802hluro|0

Yep, they are laying on a baby blanket. After all, my car is one of my babies

Believe me, it was a hard decision to make. I went with these because I wanted to maintain a somewhat stock look up front. The Halos are kick a$$ but in my humble opinion, they look a little too Euro for my tastes. I wouldn't say they look ricy like I've heard, I'm just not too fond of the 3 light look. To each his own, either one looks far better than stock in my book.

I think you made a good choice. I am partial to the black halos on my car, but I think they wouldn't look good on pewter, and chrome halos. . .well they are just ugly and too much on a pewter car

I got the same lights, but I got them at procarparts.com for cheaper.

How much did you pay for them? Looks like 159.95 on their site.

How difficult are headlights to install? The Z28 I just bought has this sort of yellowish color to the headlights, and the drivers side one seems to have some fogging. Needless to say even with the HID bulbs, it isn't too bright. Is there a way to just replace to glass portion? Or can I only get the entire assembly?

    Thanks

It is very easy to remove the headlights. There is a small bracket that bolts on the to back of each headlight with a 10mm bolt. Remove the bolt and slide the headlight toward the center of the car. There are 2 tabs on the back of each headlight housing that holds it in place. The bolt simply secures the headlight. I changed out my clear turn signals in 20 minutes. That included removing both headlights and changing out the corners and replacing the headlights. That should give you some idea as to how fast you can remove the headlights. The headlights in this link are a direct replacement for the stock headlights.

You could try wet sanding and polishing your headlights on your car, but if they are cracking at all, you would be better off just purchasing new headlights either from ebay or this link http://www.neweraperformanceparts.co...=9802hluro%7C0

Well they aren't cracking, they are just sort of yellow and cloudy. The original owner installed an HID kit, and I wonder if the heat just sort of burned the headlight lens. I don't really know for sure what might cause it.

Every single camaro has the same problem eventually. Either purchase the sand paper and polish or replace them

I'll go with the sandpaper and polish if it's actually effective
