NBM TA - To Stripe or not to Stripe?

I love my NBM color, but wish it showed off some body features a bit more. So I've always debated overlays and hood stripes. I like the Blackbird style on the hood. But do they just go over the existing Ram Air stickers on the hood?

And do they pose any paint risks over time? What if I want then off 4 years from now?

I was thinking dark gey on navy blue? Need opinions

I had strips on a Mustang a few years ago and I did not have any problems with the paint when I took them off.

I have a NBM TA with silver metallic stripes going down each nostril. Really makes a TA look badass if done correctly. Im my opinion the white stripes take away from the hood a lil to much.

here is another angle if anyone is interested.

I was thinking about ditching the stripes tho and doing the blackbird stripes like the OP is talking about, i think a gunmetal colored stripe going down the side of the nostrils would look sweet! would match my wheels as well.

In answer to the OPs question, i don't think they go over the factory ram air stickers, rather they have a cutout of the ram air emblem so it will be the same color as your car.

Thanx guys, nice wheels Kyle. Yeah, I was thinking pewter or dark grey stripes and Trans Am overlays. Something to sell the car a little more, but I'm still unsure.

My hood has silver ram air decals on the nostrils, so I'm not too sure how the Blackbird stripes would look over those.

The guy that did it for me used a heat gun, seemed pretty easy to do.

Saw a NBM TA like ours with gunmetal blackbird stripes. IMO looks badass.

Yeah, I like that look too, but I don't think I'm convinced on stripes.

I ordered just some silver overlays for the Trans Am door emblems. Should match the wheels nicely.
