Pewter- 2000 Trans Am
My TA is going to be a RICER!!!
guys I bought a WS9 hood from roger back in january, and lateley I've been looking around for a good deal on a nice paint job. but they are charging me 200 bucks to bake it in. My response to the guy at the body shop was "you think i'll be stupid enough to fork over 200 dollars more that what you told me on the phone?" "good day sir"
So now Im going to install the unpainted hood on my car so it can bake for a while. will that kill my looks? what do you guys think? HELP!!!

Up to you how long you wanna drive it like that. I have a WS9 hood and I didn't like the look of it unpainted.

Another member, Gullett17, just got his WS9 hood and installed it unpainted to bake it just like you are doing. He actually has the same colored car too. Here is the link:

Pictures are towards the bottom. I think it looks decent, at least for a brief amount of time until you get it painted. Truth be told, I'm not sure if the body shop I went to baked my hood. It's been several months ago and I'm fairly certain they did, but I thought I noticed a fiberglass line showing thru the other day. I think Roger actually recommends putting it on unpainted for awhile before having it painted. I chose not to do that because it would've cost extra to have it shipped residential.1998 Trans Am, A4, SLP Loudmouth I, US Exotics WS9 ram air hood, Volant intake, 3.23's, 70k miles
