Mod Time! Finally
this weekend im tearing my interior apart..
replacing the carpet, headliner, t-top shades, and seat belt guides.
ill be getting a vinyl wrap later on from a local shop...switching to black interior with silver stitching and WS6 headrest logos
i figured i might as well have some fun while i was tearing her apart....
-im debating on painting the interior. the local shop guy says he has some wipes that he uses that sort of sand down and clean off the interior. then i was going to use some material paint from Autozone or someplace like that. How would this hold up? i dont want it to flake off and peel...is there a protective coating that will help?
-wire hide mod. i figure a simple free project would help my engine bay. are there any tips? (i know about the Appearance museum write up)
-my center console is pretty beat up from where my seastbelt dragging...is there anyway to repair these scratches? they arent toooo deep so i really doing dont want to spend too much on repairing them
-and are there any ways to heal the notorious cracks on the door panels? i was thinking about taking them off and using some puddy...sand it down and paint over it??

yea definitely do not paint. try to find regular replacement parts. sounds like a great plan tho. love the stitching and emblems in the headrest. I would like to do that at some point.

The wire hide mod is awesome. It takes so much clutter out of that side of the engine bay. Here's another one to consider: Relocating Cruise Module

well..im scared to start drilling....tell me...whats the chances of me fucking shit up? haha i feel like it as easy as unplug...take off wheel and the plastic piece down there...drill drill... run the wires through and plug back in?...as for the cruse module relocation...if i could get the picture to download!...doesn't seem too hard and ill be sending my PCM to Frost soon...

I'm not sure I have a great picture -- as I recall, there are a couple of bends in that area and I tried to get it as much on the flat as I could. The instructions call for a 1-3/4" hole and that is the minimum. I wanted to drill smaller but there would be no way to work all the connectors through the hole. Be sure to start with your largest connector first when you insert the wires. I also filed and painted the edge of the hole and installed a rubber grommet for added protection. It was actually an easy mod that only took about an hour.
