looking for pics of black ext w/ 35% window tint
anyone that has pics of their car with the exterior color black (and preferably interior either black or charcoal) with 35% window tint all the way around i'd love to see it. i'm looking at getting 35% done on my car sometime soon.
also wondering what everyone is paying for window tinting. around here i'm finding it to be about $250 on the low end and $280 high end.

anything beyond 35% is illegal in wisconsin on front side windows. windshields are illegal to tint in wisconsin without doctors permit. anything beyond 20% is illegal here for rear side windows and the rear window.
i could no doubt do the sides my self, but if i'm paying for a lifetime warranty on a rear window for someone to do it i might as well get it on all three.

I agree that you should have someone else do it, but not for $250-$280. I had my wife's 06 Pontiac Torrent and my T/A done at a local performance shop. My car was $146 and my wife's was about $60 for the front windows. I'm very satisfied with the results and my back window looks great. Dark tint is illegal in Indiana, but I've never been hassled over it. I can imagine the story would be different if I had limo tint and the front window done. I don't know why you'd want to tint the front window anyway. My 94 Z28 had the eyebrow done with 5% when I bought it and it was so dark, I couldn't see when stoplights changed if I was sitting to close to them.

that does help bandit thanks.
i've had several friends that have put 20% on their cars and have been pulled over for it so the cops around here are dicks about it.

Here's my old GTO it was 35% all around. I got it done for $140 with lifetime warranty. Pricing does seem to vary greatly by area though. Oh and sorry for the blurry pictures I need a better camera.

From what I've been told about tinting the rear window. You can get it done cheap, but they probably aren't doing it right. A friend of mine does installs professionally and he quoted $300 for the rear alone since the proper way to do it is cut the pieces to fit between the heating elements. The cheaper places will just lay it over the entire window, and over time, it will bubble and blur due to it being directly on top of the element.
So, IMO, $248 for the entire car at 35% tint is not a bad price at all.

Have 5 % all the way around on my 00 Z here. Paid 150 to a local shop that has been doing it for years 20+ maybe more (and that was 8 years ago). They guaranty their work life time with limited waranty on the tint itself. The Z has had the same tint for 8 years and they overlaid the entire rear window. No bubbles or blurs here 8 years later.
