I just had this done, smoothed the letters out and added a 69 SS emblem. I did it to match my grille with the 69 SS emblem.

I have only seen one other camaro with this done before. Which is where I got the idea to do it. I just had mine done as well. I have not put my 69 z/28 emblem on yet. The car is alittle dirty and the pic kinda sucks but here it is anyways.

I'd like to fill in my Pontiac and carve in Trans Am... I mean Mustangs say Mustang (or Cobra) Camaros say Camaro.. why the hell do firebirds and Trans ams say pontiac?????

because camaros have a cevy emblem in the front and firebirds and trans am's have nothing. Older 4th gens have a bird on the front nose

Not really sure what that has to do with anything..... I am talking about the REAR of the cars.. Mustangs say "MUSTANG" or "COBRA", Camaros say "CAMARO" and Firebirds and Trans Ams say "PONTIAC".. kinda bugs me.

What are you guys looking at to see? I stared at the emblem forever and could not see a difference either way.

Thanks for the comments everybody. I was thinking of putting the bowtie under the right taillight but for now I agree that clean and simple is better.

I like the SS on there. Yes, I agree keep it simple. You know, the KISS method? (Keep It Simple, Stupid!)

I know their are some haters of the Hurst Shifter out there, but I was thinking of adding a vintage Hurst Equipped to the back of my TA, since it has a factory one anyway. Just trying to think where to place it...........

Nice to see another "old man" in his 40's out there still living life like a kid. I say put it under the other taillight if the WS6 is under the right one.

Yup, that is what I was thinking, left side.
I have been driving Firebirds, always V8s, over 20 years now. Had a '67 400 4 Speed for 11 years...........have a drop top '68 LeMans next to the TA in the garage.

Because an RS/SS/Z28 is still a Camaro and theres only one panel where the T/A, Firebird 2 different denotations and GM would have to make 2 separate tail panels. That would be my guess though.
