Light up TCS panel
Anybody ever lit up the TCS panel with a LED mounted in the dash?
I bought a pack of LEDs from autozone and they will flush mount into the dash.
I jacked your pic Jaison

try it and let us know, it'd be cool especially if you could wire it in to turn on when the gauges light up, could you wire it to the ashtray light since most people pull it anyways

Looks good. I always thought about wiring in an LED into the bottom of the Rearview mirror so it shines ever so slightly on the center console. Seems like too much work though.

That only took about 10 minutes from start to finish. A rip off small dremil tool and about 1 minute of drilling

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
josh-talk to me about this brother, we can make an overlay from that clear material we did your car's born-date from. you'd have to retain the stock mount so that you can keep the buttons inplace and "removability" feature, then just "hone out" the middle or something and our plaque would sit over top, just like the current plaque does, but it would serve more like a mask.

so what are you saying, just remove the middle of the tcs plaque with a dremel or something, and then put a cover on top of that so that way the led can shine through the cover? and the whole reason for keeping the plaque just so it can still be easily removed and still have the button? just making sure i understand you right, cause I'd be interested in trying it out too cause i've been wanting to change out that tcs cover for a while
yeah that ashtray light is on the front right corner in my ashtray and it only turns on when I turn my headlights on, I don't know if it comes on the A4 though, my buddies 01 SS M6 has it though. I just pulled the bulb out and have been trying to think of something cool to use the wires for

My roommates 01 SS has one. I have a 99 Trans Am. Who ever had the car before you probably already pulled it out, it was quiet obnoxious. Most people pull it. Look in the the top right corner of your ashtray, and look to see if there is a plastic circle. Chances are they pulled it out. My car's light was pulled out of its housing, the circle, and just jammed under the center console so I couldn't real tell if it was lighting up except there was a little glow from under the e-brake.

No A4s came with an ashtray light. That light went to light up the gear indicator. The M6s have the ashtray light because they dont have the gear indicator like the autos.
