    Keep exhaust clean

I noticed since I deleted my Cats and got Longtube headers that my awesome magnaflow tips need to be cleaned about once a week. Cleaning them is not only annoying but also putting scratches on the finish.

Is there any way to keep them clean for a little longer?

Wax? I use a chrome spray cleaner that almost needs no wiping (If I do need to wipe its real gentle). Just spray on, let sit for 1/2 a minute, then rinse off. Works real well on my wheels and stops me from doing anything abrasive to them, the wax would just make it easier to get the crap off.
I realize you are asking for exhaust.

I use a metal polish on my Magnaflow tips. Like you said though, if the car is driven regularly they do need cleaned almost weekly. Only takes a minute or two on each side to keep them looking nice.

    the outside of the tips?
You need to degrease them. Use something highly concentrated like Chemical Guy's Grime Reaper. spray it on, let it sit, then wash away with soap/water. Polish them with something like mothers polish then seal them with wax so that the wax is taking the hit and not the finish-it should fall away easier with the wax on them.

the outside just turns yellowish but the inside has all the carbon buildup. It all comes back to new when I clean it but the heat changes it back to nasty real fast.
