Installed leather Cobra Daytona seats in my 01SS

Let me tell you guys, buying great seats took a LOT more time and money than I thought it was going to be.
After getting the opportunity to sit in Recaro's, Sparco's, MOMO's Corbeau's, I finally tried these seats and they were by FAR the most comfy/supportive seat I had the opportunity to sit in, so I went for them.

NOW.

some of y'all will look at this and say BLASPHEMY!!!

and I understand that.

Once I learned about the history of this company AND the fact that these seats are the MOST comfortable seats I sat in, AND they offered me the option for leather and colors and stitching, I was hooked.

You don't have to like 'em but DAYUM they are the BEST seats I ever sat in, suckers kick ASS.

The seats looks great! I'm looking to replace my seats and i have 2 questions for you:
1. Is the seating position is higher then in the stock seats? as aftermarket seats tend to position the driver much higher then in the stock seat which I personally find very annoying.
2. What kind of brackets do you use? can you post a link to the seat / brackets supplier

The seats at the lowest setting of the brackets are about an inch higher(the actual seat area where you set your ass on) than the factory non-power seats, wasn't bad at all. The rear of the seating area definitely sits lower than the front area where your legs are hanging out in the leg area, VERY nice location IMHO...

Now, the back/head area is over 3 inches taller than the factory 98-02 Camaro seats so it gives you an illusion that it's sitting higher but bottomline it's taller this way than the factory seats.

RE: Brackets. these brackets are made exclusively for Cobra seats.
matter of fact, all these seat manufacturers get their brackets made to fit only their seats.

BASTARDS!!!

Anyway, they sell their brackets at their websites.

I tried to see if I could fit our factory power seat brackets to the aftermarket seats, but the holes don't align correctly and I don't have the knowledge nor the tools to try to modify the seats to fit the factory brackets.

Based on how it looks, I would have to punch out 4 more holes in the seat frame and get them sleeved and threaded to match the factory bolts.

I heard of upholstery shops doing it for folks, but I wanted a bracket that fit my car so there you go.

those look like really comfortable seats. I sat in my friends corolla that had leather seats....i wanted to put them in my T/A immediately!

so i can understand wanting to change the seats.

REALLY!

There have been quite a few 4th-gen Camaro owners wanting to switch to the T/A seats because they hold the driver/passenger together much better than the Camaro seats which feel like you're sitting in a bench seat while turning sharp, you're sliding all over the freaking place!

These seats cradle me. comfy, firm, secure.

oh, the T/A seats do "cradle" you...no doubt. but as far as comfort goes...that's a negative. not compared to other seats out there. but then again, they're designed for luxury, and not sport.
