White- 1999 Firebird Trans Am
How To Remove Door Panel Lettering
What is the best way to remove these letters and will the finish under the letters be smooth...I would like to put a vinyl pinstripe throught that area

Use either dental floss or fishing line and a hair dryer/heat gun.
Heat it up a little then run the line behind it to cut the mounting tape. Rub the leftovers off with your fingers then use either goo gone, lighter fluid, or WD40 to remove the remaining sticky crap. I would recommend goo gone because it's gentler. But others have said the other two work fine.
Cleaner wax, polish, and wax the area and you should be done.
I would also recommend removing the door ding trim. I took mine off last weekend and I think it looks awesome.
