Hood Vents

I have a 2002 Formula Firebird. I DO NOT WANT THE RAM AIR HOOD. 1 year ago I saw a car on ebay with the firebird hood (flat) with screens in the air intake. I have never seen any, just for ram air. Was this a home made deal or do they make them. Looked pretty good.

The Mecham hood is anything but the "Stock Look"
Its more of a my car is gonna ear your car look.

Now they come with a more agressive ram air type design at the front of the hood. If its the hood that the OP is asking about.

im pretty sure the original poster just wants screens for the stock firebird notrils. the only thing i have seen was on ebay for a stainless kit what was for all four nostrils (two for the ram air also), but i haven't seen it on there in a while. my concern with screens in this location is being about to release your secondary on your hood. the drivers side screen would need to be hinged or just easy to remove for this.

+1 think the ram air one looks a little bit better but if you want a stock style flat design it is very good looking

I misread what he was looking for. Besides the vents on top, the front is like the raptor hood. Still functional ram air, just more sleek. This is a firebird setup but the hood is the same.

Personally, if you don't want the WS6 hood, I'd get something like the Firehawk hood. Only two nostrils, but basically makes them bigger. I think it looks sick.

guys i think your missin the op's intent. i believe he doesnt want a hood. he likes his stock plain firebird hood. he just wants grilles for the firebird notrils. correct me if im wrong

There are no nostrils on the stock hood. They are just holes basically where two different panels meet (hood and bumper). I have never seen anyone with vents there, nor do I believe you could put any there.

yes, they are not on the hood but they do classify as notrils in my book

I have plans for this hood but I've seen one that was raised like the RAM Air hood with these vents. I have yet to find another pic or one on their site. If this is the new design I am very interested. If you have any contacts with them could you do an introduction or if you can find out the question I'd appreciate it.
