hid or a colored replacement bulb??

Little confused, I understand a hid will be brighter but if I'm looking for just a different shade of color bulb are these strretglow bulbs still good, anything bad about them?
98 camaro will be using after market headlight assemblies, black euro led assemblies

Any colored halogen bulb has less light output than a clear bulb.

I can tell you from experience I got those higher wattage bulbs with the bluish or purple tint.. not actual HID's and they burn hotter.. which later on down the road it melts the factory wiring harness to the bulbs and you start having issues. I would steer clear of any of those and go with sylvania or a reputable brand

HID headlights are better than any bulbs because these are three times longer lasting than bulbs. It means it consumes much less energy than the bulbs with less maintenance.

if your going to step up to different bulbs just go ahead and install hid's there only 10-15 bucks more expensive the the colored bulbs and are 20x brighter. just check ebay you can get a full kit for 45-60 bucks

Go HID's, they are not as expensive as they used to be.
