Hi beams and Low beams on at the smae time....

I just purchased a Painless bypass kit made for 98'-02' GM's. Don't know if it will work but I'm going to find out next Saturday. Sick and tired of having no light in front of me if I use my hi beams. Our low beams go off when you put your Hi beams on and in my case my HID's go off and the road turns black. Wish me luck with this one.

actually, there's a way to do it with out using a kit. i did it to my car.

this was the advice given to me.

"However, it's actually very easy to do yourself. All you need is a short piece of wire (14 gauge or thicker would be good) and a couple of ScotchLock connectors. Under the dash on the left side of the steering column you will find an 11-pin single-row connector (not all 11 pins are used). Just forward of that you will see a smaller square connector plugged into the column. It has three wires - light green, tan, and yellow. Use your short piece of wire to connect the yellow wire to the tan wire (don't disconnect or cut either wire, just splice them together). This will allow the low beams to remain on whether the dimmer switch is in the low or high position. It basically duplicates the way Firebirds are wired."

i'm sorry you paid for the kit.

There is no such law in Florida. The reason car companies don't do it is due to the amperage requirements of all those lights being on at the same time.
