heres a thought...steering wheel
so me and my g/f stoped by the local pontiac dealership tonight since shes looking for her first car. I got her liking the G6, and i think i have her rents convinced too(is that a good women or what)... but when we were looking i noticed something and had a thought... as im sure you all well know the stock f-body steering wheel looks dumb and blocky... If any of you have seen the new gto, solstice our g6 youll probley see where im going with this already. the new wheels look awesome. So i was thinking i may try to get my hands on one threw gm replacement parts and rig it up to the t/a... any one know if it would work?? my only thoughts are the airbag may be a lil complicated getting it hooked to the harness.

Changing the steering wheel isn't rice... retards. It works like racing seats; not rice, just stupid when they're in a 16 second Honda. I agree, there are a lot of steering wheels out there that look better than ours, especially the LT1 wheels. And what about when the leather wears out, and looks/feels like crap? You expect me to put a cover on it? Or did you want me to do a stock replacement?
To answer your question, there's only one way to find out! I'd probably go to a salvage yard and find a f-bod with a deployed airbag, so you can pull the wheel off and see what the connectors look like back there. Then go to the dealership, order the part, and compare the two before you confirm picking it up. I haven't seen the new pontiac's wheels, but I guess I'll go look! She's baaaaaccccck...

I have never heard of someone replacing their wheel with another c/w an airbag.
Let us know if it works and take plenty of pic's.
