Arctic White & Black- '98 WS6 M6 - SWAPTIME!
Help me decide
What color should I paint my intake and what color should I powdercoat my valve covers?
White
Glossy Black
Pewter
Glossy Gunmetal
Red
And has anyone painted their coil packs or throttle body before?
Any other suggestions welcome!

I have painted my coilpacks. Just clean them up, scuff them so the paint will adhere and paint away. Also, be sure to tape off the connections. I painted a TB once and didn't care for it. Polishing the TB seems to turn out better than painting it IMO.
As far as your intake/valve covers, you could do the intake white
and then the valve covers in red or black. You could also do the intake glossy black and do the valve covers in glossy gunmetal, which I think would look sharp.
Not sure how you feel about candy colors, but my valve covers, MAF ends and couple other pieces are powdercoated in candy apple red. I can post pics later if you care to see it.

There are pics of them installed with the FRCs out of the way. The last pic was before I put them on the car.
You will always be safe doing the intake black/gloss black. If you want the valve covers gunmetal or dark grey(which I think would be great) I would really lean towards doing the intake gloss black. White works with pretty much anything though, so I also think you could do the intake white and make everything blend nicely. You can always try the intake one color, and if you don't like it, change the intake back to black, its not that hard to remove/install, which I know you already know You will also probably want to powdercoat the coil brackets, I did mine anyways.
I have a second set of valve covers and have always wanted to get them powdercoated in gunmetal or a dark grey. I love candy apple red, and fell in love with that powdercoating shade, so I stuck with it. You don't see mine too much under the FRCs anyways

Tep whatever you do dont paint the TB. The guy that bought my GTO painted it and its looks hideous IMO. But when I buy it back im stripping it and polishing it. :-)
