    Gauge needle issue

I got McNord gauges on the T/A... Have all of the other gauges set perfectly thanks to a friend's HPT, but not f'n fuel gauge. No matter where I try to put it on, it bounces back to 3/4 tank. I'll get my LED's in and then fill it up and try to put it on F and see what happens, but I've tried that when I first started because it was 50 highway miles from full. Anyone have some tips?

It could be your Floater in the gas tank (the thing that reads and sends your gas level to your fuel gauge) hopefully its not tho, or the gauge, no one spun it did they? (the needle it's self) Or take the needle off. Or is it a new gauge?

It's what caused the issue. Everything was hunky dory until I took the needle off now it just springs back to 3/4 tank when I go to put everything together.

where was the needle at when you took it off (pointing) or maybe you could just have that much gas in your car. or you could try takeing it back off and remember where it was when you took it off the first time and try to match it up to that (im almost thinking that you may have it backwards maybe) gagues can be... touchy some times.

I had barely off of full. Needle wasn't even off the mark yet. What could I have backwards? It's just putting a needle on I figured. Aim it where it was and go.

I'm glad I used the Macewan overlays which slide on over the needles cuz I didn't want to get into that.

hey man, just did my overlays aswell... shitty thing is I took it off at 1/4 tank... put it back on at 1/4 tank and started it up... the gauge slowly wandered up to a little passed 3/8 just short of half way. I went ripping around and the gauge has now come down to close to 1/4 tank but I bet you I'm down to close to an 1/8... what the hell is this about? just have to reset the gauge?
