front plates-camaro

Can I see some picks of your front lic. plates. Got a ticket this morning and tring to come up some not so butt ugly mounts. I have the billet grill as well if that matters

I saw someone on ls1 tech who got the license plate from altec products. Its a retractable plate. Emai them and ask them about the plate.

I was thinking that but I dont think its going to fly in Cali.. they said it has to be mounted on the front bumper.

The guy that had this had an SS. So it does fit. He mounted it to the air dam. I don't see why this would not work in california. The plate is in the front for people to see. Its either that or the SLP license bracket. Search their site for it.

i couldn't find any pics but i've seen people mount the licence plate behind the billet grill. I'm thinking of doing that myself..

I hate the stupid front plate laws. Its so ugly, and its just another reason for the cops to give you a ticket.

The cop was being a dick and made it a mandatory court appearance and I have to have it sign off by the bailiff or court clerk. I dont even have any priors for this.. what ever just not his day

In Illinois you have to have a front plate also, but I have never had one. Got a fair share of tickets for this. I still dont have one on my camaro. Since I work for the city and must follow all the rules to the letter, the city has what they call inspectors go around checking our vehicles for plates tinted windows ect...

I know it suxs, and I took a 2 day suspension for not having a front plate, I also have tinted windows by the way. But you cant blame the cop, if state law requires it, then it is on you and me. We are all responsible for our own actions.

Just being the devils advocate.

I dont think it should be mandatory to have a front plate, and I still dont have one.

I agree, and also say if you pay for your car, plates, insurance, stickers, leave me alone to do what I want with MY CAR.

We dont need more laws, we need less goverment telling us what to do.

you should have told them that you searched dealership after dealership and they could not order a custom license plate brackets made for your Camaro because it was out of stock...

front license plates are completely worthless. how tha hell does a front plate ever come in handy? when does it ever benifit having a front license plate? only thing i can think of really is for security cameras, i guess. if that's the case, we, owners of vehicles that dont come stock with a front mount, should be allowed to place it in our windshield. fuckin fuzz. just another way of making money off of we the sheeple. baAaAaah. i live on base and for the first time in 4 months of coming through the gate, i was lectured yesterday about how i need to order a mount for my 98 z28. ive stopped in front of MP's plenty of times and never been looked at in any way other than the "nice car" look. if i have to, im gonna get the power retractable just for coming thru the gate.

another thing i think is completely ridiculous, title transfer fees. WTF!? why does every owner have to pay taxes on one item that has already been payed for in full? i say smaller government and less BS. and whatever happened to obama's so-called "change" & "transparent government?"
but ill save that for the "almost anything goes" section.
