front grill

i have a billet grill and want to know if i could paint this grill? has any one done this, any help on prep and paint for the grill?

I got my grille polished aluminum. What I did was sanded it down to rough up the surface, spray a coat of black primer on it, and then paint it. I used high gloss black (dont use flat black, it will chip...i tried).

thanks for the help the grill looks good will be working on mine today. want to put a bowtie on it like you did where do i find one and how did you attach it? can i find red? is it safe so no one can rip it off? thanks for the help...

i got the bowtie off ebay for about 35 bucks. it's off a '69 chevelle. the chevelle bowties fit better on the grille because the camaro bowtie is too pointy. i just got some self-threading nuts and 1 1/2" flat washers and put them on the studs of the emblem. No one can rip it off easily. I doubt you will be able to find a red emblem, you'll have to cusomize it yourself if you want it red.
