    Firehawk hood

    Hey guys,

I'm going for kind of the Firehawk look on my 99 TA (already got Chrome OE Firehawk rims) and was curious if anyone knew who sells the original hoods? I've tried SLP and they don't have them as well as some other manufacturers.

    Thanks all,

    Tony

I have a black one for sale for $700. Genuine SLP Firehawk hood with ram air and heat extractors.

Also watch the auctions by this person who occasionally has a used one come back to them which they then resell, ...

$700 from TA Jack above is a good price for one, if I had an etra few hundred bucks laying around, I'd pick it up for a spare. Someday, they'll bring a premium $, ...

Good Luck, ..., Don't try to pass it as a real one tho, you'll catch heck from all the Firehawk owners, ...

It may be hard to get a genuine firehawk hood so id say that deal for 700 isnt too bad. But just wanted to let you know that the raptor hood from suncoast looks a lot like it also. I have this hood on my car and i love it! Heres some more pics of it:

Plus, with the Raptor, you don't have to cut the front bumper to fit like you would with the Firehawk hood. If you ever decide to go back, the Raptor is the way to go.

FYI, SLP cuts the front bumper panel where the hood fits.

Curious. Do you have any pics of that hood? There wasn't a "ram air" on the Firehawk hoods

Isnt the only thing making them "ram air" the air box and set up under the hood? what does it matter what the hood lookes like?

Firehawk hood uses stock air cleaner assembly, but has 2 large inlet nostrils for air. It was a paint blem I bought from SLP. Dave Hamburger (Eds son) was selling them for a while. I also have 2 new air inlet grills that go with it for $700 and I deliver cars to 37 states east of the Rockies, so I can deliver it for free if you are near a city I will be passing thru.

Just gotta say, if you go this route, ya might as well get the hood stripped and painted right out of the chute. SLP's paint quality sucks ass....
