Fender in front of the door jam is bulged out, probably from improper use of a swing lift or jack... look under the car where the fender bolts in, is it bent out? Mine was, I just took a rubber mallet and a wedge of wood, and softly hammered her back. Hope this explanation is clear.

Check all the bolts 1st.They sometimes loosen over time. It is a GM and fit and finish was never their strong point. If they are loose take them out and use some thread locker on them.

I noticed the bolt flange under mine this weekend were tweaked. This weekend I'll have to try and straighten it out to pull my finder back in a bit also. Good thread.

Unfortunately the bolt flange and fender on my passenger side are completely broken apart.... and have been since I got the car, just didn't notice it for a long time. It kind of flaps a bit, so I've got to find a way to rig that shiz up.... Duct tape ftw j forward slash k

Well if you want it to stay and stop flapping I have a suggestion. I use this on many different things. Go to a auto paint store(real one not Napa or something generic) PPG or Dupont usually has it. The have a caulking gun with SEM 2 part cartridges that you can use to glue it toghter so to speak. It's like a 2part epoxy. You can get it a rigid or semi which works on metal, fiberglass, or plastic. They make one that starts to bond in less than a min. I've used it to glue blacks on when shaving handles after my welder died. It will hold anything. Might have a little trouble if you ever have to take the fender back off. or use it to glue a piece of steel to it and drill out new holes.

You might try taking it to a body shop and have new tabs tacked on. That mostly happens when you take it to get inspected or shop work. The guys there sometimes dont know how to put f-bodies on a lift. They sometimes think it's like a front wheel drive and put the lift feet directly on the fender flanges. Which of course bends the sh#t out of them. The same thing happed to mine except I saw the idiot do it and I came unglued on him before he broke them or folded them over. Glue is an option but I would'nt want mine fixed that way. It probably wont be to bad price wise to have new ones tacked on. Or if you got a welder try doing it yourself but only if you're good!
PS. Not to be a d#ck but it looks like your hood needs aligned too. Could be the photo but like the guy said earlier GM was never good at fit & finish. Sometimes that happens from slamming the hood too hard too.Last edited by Smittro; 03-03-2009 at 04:04 PM.

Sometimes that happens when the front is rammed into the ground. The other ouner may have hit something. Or some dummy hit it hard when it was parked. Sometimes folks forget that the front is out there and run them aground. It's luckly an easy fix now that it has an owner that obviously cares about it.
PS. It does seem like some kind of impact on the passenger side if the fender is popped out too. I'd pull the under fairing off and look up inside to make sure there not more damage that you cant see. Just a thought.Last edited by Smittro; 03-04-2009 at 02:31 PM.
