    Decal Remover

What is the best spray or liquid to remove remaining adhesive residue from a decal on a car? I pulled an old graphic off a car and it didn't do any damage to the paint but I need something to clean the remaining adhesive residue.

There is an adhesive remover that you can buy at most hardware and parts stores. I believe it is made by 3M. Just be sure to wash the area down with soap and water and then get some wax on it as it will also cut through that. I have never had it harm the paint on a car.

Forgot about Goo Gone. I have not used that on a painted surface before.

    Hmmm, I don't think I have either.

Worked well on window stickers. Better than the crap product the chain stores carried in an aerosol can.

I also grabbed a Turtle Wax chip and scratch remover kit. I only have three small scratches and I'm almost positve that they are only in the clear coat. Anyone have any experience with the Turtle wax marker kit for these situations?

The 3M remover is the only stuff worth a damn. I had to remove this huge ass decal when I bought my car. 3M was the only stuff that worked good.

Good to know. I'll have to tuck that away for future reference.
