Check out my new Berger Panel :)....
Well after three months of work I finally finished it!! God I'm glad to be done !
I got the bumper off a 97 Z28 off ebay for about $30 bucks, it was originally black and still had the plastic logo stickers on it... heh heh. Then purchased the supplies Maybe about $50 in paint, $20 in body filler and fiber glass (never used), and another $50 in sand paper. Total was about $150 bucks give or take a dollar or two .
I then sanded by hand (to get all the old paint and primer off), then body filled it, sanded some more, added more filler, sanded, added more filler, primed it (about five coats), sanded a little more, and finally painted it with satin black paint (about ten coats). I might add clear, but I was in a hurry to see how it looks . I've never done body work, and after doing this,... I may never do it again LOL. But I did learn some things, mostly the hard way. Maybe next time I'll use the fiber glass kit I bought but didn't use, lol. Luckily the paint filled in where the filler sunk in.
Well without futher ado.. the pics....
The old
The begining
The old off the car (notice all the black paint, lol, my wife was pissed for that)
And the Berger on my car
A close up of my Chevy crome logo
And in case you were wondering what the back window says
An old saying that I've been using for years to describe my driving styl .
So what do you guys think?
Well thats it and I'm tired as hell and need to take a nap .

I did mine, but I used high gloss black. It gives it a much more finished look. I also thought about having a carbon fiber guy wrap it for me, it woulda cost about 200 bucks to do it that way. I know a paint guy and cost me all of 30 bucks! I wouldn't reccommend high gloss paint unless you have experience! Looks great though, did the Chevrolet emblem!

I agree that the tail lights, the bumper sticker, the door guards and the exhaust tips need to see a trash can ASAP!
It's a shame that you spent all that time and effort to make your car look worse. What were you thinking?

Is that a big dent above the left rear wheel well? Seems like your effort should have gone to fixing that.

The door guards have to be there!! I'm 6,9. And need the door out as far as it can go. And here in Florida, the parking spaces are soo damn small. So my car doors hit other cars so I can get out. I'd prefer not to damage my doors or they'ers.
My 3inch. Flowmaster exhaust came as all one peice in the mail. And I didn't feel like cutting them off. Plus I like those tips TYVM!
The bumper sticker got put there when I went to a promotion of my fav. radio station and they had a stripper car wash . Heh heh. Mine and two others got the most attention. Well the girls put that sticker back there after they were done. And I kinda am too lazy to remove it right now. More important things to do. It will come off when the car gets repainted. I'm shooting for around Dec. or Jan.
And as for your last statement,... !!

I just did the Berger panel 00 SS and the stripe on the hood and I love them both. I went with the satin black. Flat black and gloss black doesn't look right.
