can you paint the door panel cloth?
i want the two sections of cloth on my door panel to be black instead of the grayish color the yare right now. has any one tryed painting them?
M6, Lid, Ported and Polished Throttle Body (By Me!), LT, Custom Catted Y, Electric Cutout, PHB, LCA13.21@108 with a 2.3 60'

i mean, you could try dying them, dont think it would work, there is a write up on here somewhere on how to replace it with leather, or you could have an upholstery store do it also.

I replaced the carpet on my door panels. remounting the carpet is a little shady but not too difficult... replacing it with vinyl etc would look a lot better than painting and imho be more durable in the long run.

did anyone have problems prying off the arm rest. caseu freidn did this with suade. aand he cant use his arm rest to close the door anymore. he had to make a custom plate behind there for structure ... ???

all right im about to guinea pig this you guys, i picked up some of the duplicolor stuff and im going to try it on my drivers side panel, i was intending to wrap it in vinyl anyways so if this doesnt work i will just cover it with that. I will post pics this afternoon.

looks like it might work the problem is i wanted to go with a silver but they only had a gray and its too dark, so im going to look around for a litter gray or silver, if not then i will do it in black, so you guys will have to wait. Sorry.
Edit, dont do it guys, doesnt come out for shit and its all hard and crusty, im going to put an overlay on mine.Last edited by ls1bandit; 10-29-2007 at 01:21 PM.

+1 for "hard and crusty" a guy said he could dye some seats for me years ago and he used the Duplicolor shit and ruined them. It came off on your clothes and I wound up buying new seats.
