    calipers painted and more

got the duplicolor caliper paint kit from pimp boys.....its a brush on so I did not have to spray it and get over spray everywhere.....the brush that comes in the kit is pure crap so throw it away and get some small cheap foam ones from wally world......the best way to clean the calipers I found is the etching alum wheel cleaner and a small toothbrush type wire brush......takes alot to get nasty calipers clean......did the brackets in gold for a contrast and not to be like every one who does theirs red......got some trans am stickers for the fronts from ws6 store....i only painted in areas where you can see so I did not waste a lot of time doing every inch of the caliper.......i think it turned out good

Painted ours over a year and a half ago with Eastwood's Spray Gray. They still look great and have not peeled or rusted.

I have to be honest here. The gold is just horrid although the brakes cleaned up nice and calipers look great. I think people will look at your wheels and think 3 things...

    1. This guy must have good teeth to match.
    2. His previous car must have been a civic
    3. This guy has no taste

Just being totally honest. Imo you should just paint the brackets black or red. Sometimes 'trying' to be different is worse. I like to look at things from this perspective : If ferrari doesn't do it, neither should I. They pump out $200k machines day in and day out. Calipers still red. rotors still black. everyone else does it. I will swallow my words the day ferrari paints their caliper brackets gold and leave their calipers red.

It looks cool man... Some people feel that they need to say the rudest things to express their opinion. It's a shame that some of those people are members here. Nice car bro.
